In My Head…
all the projects we’re working on fit nicely into a simple category called social enterprises. A simple definition is that a social enterprise has an outcome which helps people to grow, improve, succeed and in some way to fulfill their target audience’s mission. Here’s are some of the ones on our production table.
[P.S.; yes, our logo was created from this shot of my eye.]
MOMtrepreneurs Magazine™
My wife and business partner, Angelina Musik-Comp is working with a team of mavens across the United States, launching the MOMtrepreneurs Magazine™, which includes a website for all the sponsors and advertisers. The packages come with print, video, web and more.
MOMtrepreneurs Network™
Version 4 of the MOMtrepreneurs website and woman-in-business directory is underway. The upgrades include all the social networking and video sharing tools you’d expect – and the training and business tools which won two of the SBA champion of the Year Awards.
Sirolli Institute
The Sirolli Institute delivers penicillin for small business – literally reversing business mortality rates. We’re providing creative and technical services to substantially reduce their cost of delivery, while increasing their client base through an online campus and a live ‘help desk’. They’re now more carbon responsive, and are delivering rural community economic development more cost effectively.
Central Oregon Micro-Enterprise
This project is a rural community development initiative lead by the Wy’East RC&D. This is one of a few hundred Sirolli Enterprise Facilitation projects. Greg Hohensee, the Enterprise Facilitator® is a fabulous help to entrepreneurs across central Oregon – in fact his services are FREE and Confidential. I’ve help document some of their positive outcomes and have been blessed to contribute to the resource board.
Entrepreneurial Schizophrenia®
It’s still underway – and so is the new .Net website. You can download an MP3 sampler (1 hr.) of chapter narrations, and many, many PDF format chapter parts. with beautiful images and illustrations. I’ve got 2-1/2 chapters to illustrate before it goes to print, so I’m hopeful to have this done (this year). This is a beautiful, toilet read, suitable for your coffee table – excuse the visual :>)
HippoNexus™
This is a recruiting and training tool for Positive Outcome ‘Mavens’ – people that love to share bold ideas and opportunities to improve the world. It’s also an umbrella for Information Facilitators™ – youthful new media story tellers gathering positive outcomes of projects so that modest donors can connect with real solutions and make a world of difference for entrepreneurs and micro-enterprises. (see www.kiva.org)
Pilot Projects
These are pilot projects that demonstrate Chris Anderson’s ‘FREEmium’ and ‘Long-Tail’ new economy models, combined with the above goals of gathering Mavens and Information Facilitators™ to share positive outcomes with Modest Donors that make a huge difference in the mission of Entrepreneurs, Micro-enterprises, rural communities and Social Enterprises.

Now you know what we’re passionate about, and committed to create! I challenge you to join us as a Maven or story teller or social enterprise! It’s a journey worth the learning, sacrifice and adventures. It’s also full of rewards and GREAT relationships. As Jim Collins writes in “Good to Great” – the challenge is NOT deciding where to go, rather it’s in WHO is on and WHO is off the bus. Which are you?
